Union Sushi + Barbeque Bar
What: Union Sushi + Barbeque Bar will be rocking with music by DJ Flaco alongside signature cocktails from Adam Seger of Hum Spirits. There will also be complimentary sushi and skewers served throughout the evening.

McGee’s, Wrightwood Tap, Durkin’s, Duffy’s, Redmond’s, Maeve
What: Get basted the night before Thanksgiving with a “Turkey Trolley Trot.” Taking place from 8-11 p.m., the crawl will hit six different bars. The $20 meal package includes a food buffet, domestic drafts, a “pilgrim punch” and trolley transportation to the various bars. Tickets can be purchased here.

Bridge Bar
What: Turkey lovers can get a head start on the action a night earlier with Bridge Bar’s “Turkey Night.” Enjoy a drive-thru turkey burger, featuring house-ground turkey topped with homemade cranberry sauce, washed down by a craft beer for $8. $2 Wild Turkey “you-call-its” will also be available to replenish thirsty birds.

Where: 941 W. Randolph
What: Porkchop looks to wash the night away with its Blackout Wednesday specials. Drinks include the Blackout (PBR and whiskey shot) and Crazy Train Shots (three shots – vodka pineapple, cranberry and apple pucker). Local punk band The Frantic will provide the entertainment.

The Southern
What: Have a very Wild Turkey Black Wednesday at the Southern. There will be Wild Turkey bourbon samples, $5 Wild Turkey ball shots, $3 Coors Lite and a $40 drink package alongside a DJ dropping the tunes.

What: SmallBar will be wrapping up the fall season by tapping their last keg of Southern Tier’s Pumpkin Imperial Ale. Making a return for one night only will be the Pumpkin Whip cocktail and Black Wednesday beer specials will include a $4 SmallBar pale ale and $4 allagash.

Midtown Kitchen & Bar
What: Midtown Kitchen & Bar will offer a very Chicago 3-1-2 special all day long on Black Wednesday. House cocktails will be $3, domestic draft beers will be $2 and glasses of Champagne will be $1.

Jack’s Bar & Grill and 404 Wine Bar
Where: Jack’s Bar & Grill at 2856 N. Southport; 404 Wine Bar at 2852 N. Southport
What: Are you a hungry and stranded student with nowhere to go? Jack’s Bar & Grill and 404 Wine Bar has you covered. On Black Wednesday and Friday Nov. 25, diners can take 50 percent off their food and drink bill with a valid student i.d.

The Pony, Lotties Pub, The Frontier
Where: The Pony at 1638 W. Belmont; Lottie’s Pub at 1925 W. Cortland; The Frontier at 1072 N. Milwaukee
What: Cheer on the Chicago Blackhawks during this Black Wednesday trolley crawl. A Blackhawks viewing party with announcer Gene Honda and the Ice Girls will take place at The Pony, while Lottie’s Pub will feature karaoke. Finally, live music and a patio campfire at the Frontier should help keep even the coldest hockey fans warm. Free beer and Malibu Black cocktails will be stocked on board the trolley to keep the party going.

Barn & Company
What: A complementary menu sampling will be available and washing down the grub will be $4 craft beer drafts, $15 sangria pitchers and $5 bomb shots.

Timothy O’Toole’s
What: Prove your love of turkey at Timothy O’Toole’s “Turkey Testicle Festival.” At 9 p.m., the fun gets started with a turkey testicle eating contest followed by a pumpkin pie eating contest. Onlookers can still get a taste of the action with $6.99 fried turkey testicle buckets, half-price Guinness Blacklist drafts and $2 Miller and Coors Lite pints.

Paramount Room
What: The River West bar and restaurant will celebrate Black Wednesday with several drink specials including $2.50 PBR cans, $5 shot and a beer, $3 house shots as well as jello shots.

Tzar Ultra Lounge
What: The engines will be revving at Tzar Ultra Lounge’s “Black Out Affair.” Come dressed in black attire and catch a glimpse of a display of luxury black automobiles. There will also be a complimentary Champagne bar between 10-11 p.m.

John Barleycorn
Where: 658 W. Belden
What: Dance the night away as DJ Danniboi spins the hottest jams at John Barleycorn. Chow down on all-you-can-eat fish and chips for $8.95 and drink up on $3 Sam Adams drafts, $4 well drinks and $4 glasses of wine.

Casey Moran’s
What: The popular Wrigleyville bar will be featuring $1 domestic bottles, $3 Goose Island 312 drafts and a $3 craft beer of the week.

Vertigo Sky Lounge
What: An open bar, live DJs and the city’s only rooftop lounge where they dare to go outside in November. Guest can purchase tickets in advance for open bar packages starting at $30 dollars.

Tzar Nightclub
What: A blackout affair, with patrons encouraged to wear black clothing while surrounded by a display of luxury black vehicles. Complimentary champagne reception from 10-11 p.m.

The Joynt

What: Head to The Joynt for the monthly Ladies’s Night Chicago event from 5:30-10 p.m., featuring beauty services, drink specials, music and get an early start on holiday shopping with a selection from local vendors.

Joe’s Bar on Weed

What: Come on out to Joe’s Bar on Weed St. for Blackout Wednesday party featuring half-priced drinks.

Rockit Bar & Grill

What: Black Wednesday Moustache and Whiskey party. Come with your best mustache to show off in the mustache contest to win a $100 prize. Enjoy Jim Beam and Markers Mark for $6 and whiskey infused culinary menu. Proceeds will benefit The Movember Foundation to raise awareness for Men’s Health and Prostate Cancer.
District Bar
What? The open bar package runs from 6-9 p.m., and there will be specials ($6 Absolut cocktails, $4 Jameson shots, $3 Lemon Drops) all night long. Menu includes deep-fried herbed turkey with Grand Marnier cranberry sauce, hot corn pudding with white goat cheddar cheese, mini bourbon and brown sugar sweet potato pies and more.

Lottie’s Pub
What? Head to Bucktown for a Black Wednesday Beer Fest featuring $5 24-ounce domestic drafts and, of course, $5 turkey legs with sweet potato fries.

The Pony

What? Thanksgiving is usually about old traditions, but how about a new one? The Pony picked a fine time to launch its “Honky Tonk Wednesdays” series, which features country tunes all night long courtesy of Slamabama, plus specials including half-price burgers and wings, $3 SoCo & Lime, $3 Jim Beam Black and $3 16-ounce Coors Light cans. There’s no cover for the launch event.

Rockwood Place
What? What’s better than pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving? Pumpkin pie shots the night before. Rockwood Place features all-night drink deals such as $4 pumpkin pie shots, $3 drafts, $4 Jameson and $4 Absoult cocktails. Or go for an inclusive $25 package that includes wine, select beers and spirits. There is no cover.


LaSalle Power Co.
What? The main floor is open from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. featuring the full regular menu until 1 a.m., including LPC’s Thanksgiving Leftovers Sandwich, with roasted turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce on a ciabatta roll with a side of home-style gravy. Doors open on the second floor at 8 p.m. where LPC’s resident DJ spins rock, pop and more. Doors open on the third floor at 8 p.m. where the 11th Hour Band plays hip-hop, disco and electro dance starting at 9 p.m.


Martini Park
What? Work out some of your familial frustrations with live band karaoke at Martini Park. From 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. cover band Rendition will host live band karaoke. Get up your courage with $6 Absolut specialty cocktails.

What? Want to spend your Black Wednesday a little differently than normal? Head to Carnivale to enjoy live music by the skilled composer and trombonist, Angel Melendez, accompanied by his quartet. Having played at some of the great Chicago venues, including The House of Blues and The Chicago Symphony Center, Angel Melendez has become one of the most recognized Latin musicians in Chicago.


What? Free appetizers are a great way to begin a night of drinking. Chens Chinese and Sushi is offering half-price martinis and complimentary appetizers for guests who dine in the bar. Complimentary appetizers include maki trays, spring rolls, crabmeat wontons and cold noodle salad.


Cityscape Bar
What? Hump Day Happy Hour Buffet–need we say more? Black Wednesday specials will include: $2 Miller Lite, MGD, MGD 64 bottles and $3 glasses of Glass Mountain Chardonnay and Merlot from 3 p.m.-1 a.m. The buffet (5-7 p.m.) includes wings, artichoke dip and much more..


Duke’s Alehouse and Kitchen
What? Funk up your Thanksgiving at Duke’s. For just $5 you can jam out to Barefoot Fred, a versatile band with a rock/funk/bluegrass sound.


Durty Nellie’s
What? Go back to a time where hairspray ruled and leggings weren’t just for ladies. In celebration of Black Wednesday, Durty Nellie’s will present ’80s rock cover band Hairbangers Ball. Cover is $7.


Gibsons Steakhouse Rosemont
What? Be thankful for free stuff. Start the night out right with a complimentary appetizer buffet from 4-6 p.m. in the bar.


Meson Sabika (Naperville)
What? Celebrate the night with midnight sangria. Just $3 gets you a midnight sangria (red wine, brandy, triple Sec, gin, fruit juices, blue curacao, topped with fresh fruit) and $2 tapas from select menu which will consist of an array of hot and cold tapas all available for $2 each.


What? This laid-back Lounge’s third annual Lights Out Party starts with a private cocktail reception featuring Absolut Boston Black Tea and Elderflower vodka from 9 to 10 p.m., then continues with DJ Timbuk2, recent VH1 Hip-Hop Honors winner for “Best Hip-Hop DJ in the Nation.” Drop an extra $10 for three hours of open bar from 9 p.m.-midnight.


Uncle Fatty’s Rum Resort
What? It’s business as usual at this tropical-themed bar – and by that we mean a lot of partying. “Tank’dgiving Eve” includes four hours of premium open bar for those who wish to partake, as well as entertainment from DJ Risky Bizness and high-energy cover band The Seth Bradley Personnel. Also of note: Uncle Fatty’s will introduce its four-gallon (!) fishbowl service, available for $10 per person.


What? It’s up to you to decide the lush status you want to enjoy. Just having a couple? Go a la carte. Doing it up big? Try the $30 call beverage inclusive package (offered from 9 p.m.- midnight). The bar’s resident DJ will be spinning pop, rock, top 40 and more from 7 p.m.-2 a.m.


Mac’s American Pub
What? Start your meat-fest early with an $8.75 meatloaf dinner (comes with gravy, mashed potatoes and asparagus). Wash it down with $3 pints of microbrew drafts and $3 pumpkin pie and nutty pumpkin shots. Mac’s adds a DJ to the Wednesday night lineup spinning a mix of styles from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. There is no cover.


Moe’s Cantina
What? Meat on a stick? Check. Drink specials? Check. DJ? Check. Moe’s has everything you need for a well-rounded Black Wednesday. The DJ spins from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. with no cover charge.


What? Have you been watching the new “Melrose Place” on CW? If not, you’d better bone up quickly, as one of the show’s steam stars, Colin Egglesfield, will be the main attraction at this Black Wednesday event. The actor is promoting his SHOUT OUT! T-shirt line, and attendees will not only enjoy a meet-and-gree with him (from 7-8 p.m.) but can also customize their own shirts with Thanksgiving-themed messages. The party that also includes $7 cocktails, $175 Absolut bottles and chair massages by Juvenesse Spa.
